Off Again

I booked my flights yesterday for my trip to Chicago and Dallas on Saturday. Unfortunately I will have to relinquish my seat at Wembley to watch England vs Brazil for my seat at Wrigley to watch the Cubs play the Marlins! I will be there for a week and then back in London for a couple of weeks.

The weather in London has been brilliant lately and it’s been great to get back onto the golf course. Tomorrow night I will be in the West End, Marlyebone to start off with and then onwards from there.

I know I still need to get my photos up and write some stories about the trip but I am still waiting for a few people to send me their pics (Truman, Terry) and I really need to put aside some time to do it.

See you in a few days!

Given the choice between writing on my blog or circumnavigating the globe, I chose the latter, and wow, what a circumnavigation it turned out to be, my best yet.

3 weeks ago I knew nothing about Melbourne or Orange County or Las Vegas, I now know lots! There is nothing like returning home either, and South Africa was as fun as always. And although I have been to Dallas before I still managed to squeeze in things like a Rodeo and the more mundane things like ….. work!

I have to admit I have found the thought of commencing blogging again after a 4 week sabbatical pretty daunting. I am really struggling to find the words which could even begin to describe some of my holiday exploits. Nothing I write seems to do it justice and photos unfortunately just don’t seem to capture the atmosphere adequately. At least by writing this post my guilt is alleviated somewhat and I can start posting about other interesting things rather than just my life.

A few of my sports predictions have also come true. Man Utd won the Premiership and the Sharks are in the super 14 final with a chance to go all the way!!!!

Its a huge day for rugby in SA tomorrow and hopefully the Sharks can become the first SA team to win the Super 14. I am banking on a Man Utd FA cup win tomorrow and a glorious Sharks victory in Durban.
