If you’re the kind of person who doesn’t read newspapers, or you don’t really care what the government does with your tax money, and if extreme corruption, nepotism and fraud don’t really get up your nose then I suggest you stop reading now. Stop reading also if you don’t know who Brett Kebble is.
OK, so you’re still reading. Good, because you’re about to discover just how corrupt South Africa really is. If you still think that Brett Kebble was shot in an attempted hijacking then I suggest you read this article written in April 2004 by Noseweek, almost 2 years before his “assasination”.
I found this article after reading Someamongus’s article on Dirrrrty Brett Kebble the other day. One of the key players in this whole saga I specifically recall meeting - Lunga Ncwana. The ANC Youth League member who happened to fall into Brett’s pocket, mind you, he wasn’t the only one, read the article in its entirety to discover just how corrupt and manipulative this man and his cronies within the ANC have been. All the people implicated in this article are big political/business players in SA and most of them hold significant posts within government/business. If you’re South African then you MUST read it!!!!!
The most irritating thing - thousands of wealthy whites collaborating with wealthy blacks to devise “empowerment” schemes which ultimately turn out to be self enrichment SCAMS. Everyone just plays along to line their own pockets! In fact, thinking about it South Africa is no different to Russia, a few smart shysters managed to stop the political gravy train just long enough to jump onto the Black Empowerment train and make themselves super rich in the process. Tokyo Sexwale = Roman Abromovich, and just like Russia we have thousands of people in SA living well below the poverty line.
Having read the article now for the 3rd time I’m still feeling like a raped nun. I’m not naive enough to think that this doesn’t happen in other countries, but certainly not at this level, for if it did, no doubt the entire country would collapse.
Educated wealthy South Africans, carry on turning a blind eye and maybe you’ll get some of the cheese! It’s late and I’m going to bed ‘cos I’m starting to get seriously wound up.

Frightening article, brother. I’ve been following the Kebble/JCI/R&E story for the last two weeks or so in the Business Report. The figure ‘missing’ so far is about ZAR 2.5bn - bliksem!

Frightening, I know you keep up with current affairs so would have been as alarmed as I was at the high profile characters implicated in the article!
