Postcards from Vietnam

exilimChristmas is almost upon us and for me that means loads of work and even more partying. In less than two weeks now I will be winging my way to Vietnam for a two week relaxing holiday in Saigon and perhaps a few days in Hanoi. It will be fantastic to see my family again, amazing to think that we spent Christmas and New Year in Beijing back in 2002 and now three years later we will spend it in Saigon! I will also be stopping off in Hong Kong for the day and I am thinking of replacing my trusty Canon Ixus v3 I got in Hong Kong 3 years ago for my birthday with a more recent model. Either another Canon or perhaps the super sleek and pocketable Casio Exilim.

Halong

The photo above was lifted off Flickr and is reminiscent of the hideout used by Scaramanga, James Bonds adversary in “The Man with the Golden Gun”. Hopefully I will be bringing my own photos back of Halong Bay if we do get up to Hanoi!
