Today I was interviewed for a show that is going to air on the Discovery Channel. Let me let that sink in a bit……….

Remember the show that we all used to watch years ago, Beyond 2000 ? Well its back, but this time its called Beyond Tomorrow and it has started showing this year on the Discovery Channel.
I spent today at Topgolf in Kingstowne just outside Washington DC. When I arrived at the centre this morning I was greeted by the sight of the Beyond Tomorrow crew who were interested in filming the centre and also interviewing me about the technology and what I do! The show is made in Australia and the crew had come over from Aus to film a few pieces which will air WORLDWIDE some time in February 2006. I spent the morning chatting to and being interviewed by Kim Watkins, allegedly a celeb back in Aus.
I’ll keep you posted with updates about when its due to air and hopefully Kim will keep her promise to send me a DVD of the finished episode.
Other than that things are good here, the weather is crappy but the people are as friendly and fun as always! Even made it down to Old Town Alexandria in Virginia last night for a few bottles with some of my mates from last time. Wicked!

I was interviewed because I work for a company called World Golf Systems who invented and own Topgolf. A revolutionary new style “driving range” leisure activity centre. We have patented a golf ball with a microchip inside it. They wanted me to talk about the product and our current worldwide roll-out plans for the business. There should be one in SA soon and I’ll be coming home regularly to project manage it - oh yeah !

More like 1/16 th celeb status! Nobody in the UK has ever heard of Beyond 2000 so my obscure celeb status in the UK is still assured.
